Caste: Incarnate Order

Rylim is a high ranking member of the incarnate order. He is known to have a particually fine personal collection of art created by all five races and sponsors several unorthodox artists himself. He is also much friendlier with the other races than is normal for a sylphim having spent his youth travelling

Rylim is a notable enchanter who rumor has it is heavily involved in keeping the floating isles in the air.

Eternity

Following the final meeting of the War Council Rylim worked to ensure that the changes he had wrought to Sylphim Society would endure well past his death. He negotiated with the Aquienos to ensure that the star-rites would be performed to keep the floating isles aloft, and laid down the instructions that would permit a younger generation of channellers to maintain or recreate the Island Cores should a need arise.

When the true Empress disappeared Rylim joined the group who set out to rescue her, and subsquently removed the Arkhivian replacement from the throne. Having secured the wellbeing of the Empire he travelled to the Seraphol and helped his friend Talioc create her first and last work of art.

Wearied then by the burden of his undeath he returned to Vyse Peak to spend his last few months in communication with the elemental Manifestations, and teaching a few promising students the greater secrets of his legendary Air Channelling.

Just over a year after the war's end Rylim's body was found in the Peak's central chamber. After a lavish funeral he was interred within the Peak beneath a great statue carved in his image by the Imperial Artist. Rylim was remembered by his people as one of the Chitha-Saints, a title bestowed only to those few whose efforts measurably advanced the beauty of the whole Sylphim people.

Rylim's Death

Rylim sat still in thought. His toils were over, the isles floated gently on the clouds but more importantly the elements were once again equal in the eyes of the sylphim. He could feel the demonstration of that unity around him in the 4 antechambers as each of the manifestations carried on their unknowable dance. He reflected that he should have felt great joy and excitement at this, at this new age for the Sylphim, but it was not for him. To get to this point his hands had been stained with blood and now all he felt was an emptiness; let others who were clean, pure and full of vitality continue the pursuit of chitha, his part was done.
Slowly as he sat meditating on the elements, a slight smile on his face, he felt his body fall away as he sunk into blackness.
