In the world of Djemity, news travels fast, borne on the fleetest of Aquienos Ships, flown across the land in Sylphim Floating Isles, or whispered through miles of stone by Teklo Wordsmiths. Of course, as fast as news and official reports travel, rumour and hearsay are quicker to spread throughout the world.
An announcement made and distributed through the 5 races
Praise the great heroes who have won a decisive battle against the Arkhivian. Their invasion fleet has been crushed an a solid foothold has been established on the Northern Isles. High Admiral Andar has established command there and is making preparations to lay siege to the newly constructed Arkhivian fortress. He has sent back requests for additional allied troops to be sent to the Northern Isles to aid of re-establishing complete control over the islands. Other successful missions on the northern isles include a successful sabotage mission and retrieval of allied weapons from a fortified encampment on the isles. Morale amongst the troops is high, as this is the first time things seem to be changing in our favour.
Propaganda sent around Djemity by Teklo bureau for morale
Large forces of Arkhivians have been repelled from the shores of Djemity and the Starfall isles by a number of great heroes.
High warleader Gravaldon led the Kirlsa on a ruthless bird hunting expedition in the Mosel, rounding up the “dishonourable scum” and putting them to death for their sins against the Kirlsa people.
Meanwhile in the Starfall isles Admiral Mar’Kaven’Fra and our own Warden Dach Fra Ver sent the black armoured Arkhivian shock troops back to their icy wastes, or at least they would have if there were any ships left for them to escape on, so they had to kill them instead! The Legion of the Iron Line, as the survivors now call themselves, was glorious sight to behold as they slaughtered their enemies, while the Kaven fleet wrought great vengeance upon the enemy naval forces, repaying a small portion of that which had been done to their fellows.
Meanwhile a force of Kirlsa was turned loose upon the archipelago with a mission they relish: Search and Destroy. Every so often there is heard in the distance the dying screams of an Arkhivian scouting party, torn to pieces in the claws of giant scorpions.
Aquienos gossip
Did you see that, off near that Teklo port?
What, Kez'Dun?
That's the one, yeah. Anyway, 'twas a rare sight. A massive teal monster, fleeing into the ocean…
Extracts from an Epic penned by Zur Fra Rai
… The Heroes did turn the Wyrm's breath back on itself before the Betrayer revealed his true allegiance…
… The Wyrm's spawn were slain in great numbers, even as the beast itself was driven from our shores…
News Pamphlet distributed throughout Djemity.
Admiral Jean'Lowe has revealed himself as a traitor and a pirate. In a series of related events the disgraced Admiral engaged in a number of acts of sabotage, showing he has no respect for the war effort, even if he is not in league with the Arkhivians. It is believed that the Corsair Fleet will rally around this pirate, and that he has also acquired a number of magical weapons from the war fleet. His forces are highly dangerous and if sighted should not be engaged, please report sightings to the nearest war fleet detachment. Unconfirmed reports are that the Admiral attempted to assassinate a large proportion of the Praetor council and was only thwarted in the eleventh hour by the speedy response of High Admiral Andar's division of the War Fleet. Control of the 3rd Division has been removed, and proceedings are underway for stripping of the title of Admiral.
…a substantial delegation of Becquerel arrived in the court and were warmly recieved by her highness…
…large naval displays organised by the Aquienos and her Majesty was most entertained by their Admiral's tales of life on the high seas…
…many in the court moved to tears by the fine words of the Teklo ambassadors whose hopes for peace were surely in line with chitha…
…Her Radiance has indicated that a gift will be returned to the other Races commensurate with her delight at these events.
Report to the Teklo Senate
Reports continue to reach our office of construction at Broken Peak. Apparently, the Sylphim artist Frizburg is leading the project and has now dug a shaft into the volcano as well as damming the caldera with a giant boulder. We recommend that his intentions are sought immediately, as any disturbance of the volcano could be catastrophic for Teklo lands and a larger scale eruption would threaten the lands of other races as well.
News begins to spread from the Deep Mountains, carried with trade caravans and on the lips of Teklo Soldiers travelling to war in the North.
“Did you hear? Senator Feeg Fra Ohn was poisoned in his sleep, and Senator Ki Yos Ger is at deaths door after someone tried to slit her throat.”
“Yes, I heard. I heard that nearly a dozen attacks happened overall, but how is this happening? Surely the Arkhivians couldn't possibly be responsible for all of them,”
“The way I heard it, someone was trying to use the war to settle old scores. You know, rivals, opponents and rising stars, that sort of thing…”
“Hush your voice, someone might hear that talk.”
The words of Balas the Triple-Blade, Kirlsa Adventurer, in a pub.
“So there I was, locked in hand to hand combat with a Grellig Mountain Bear, in the middle of an old Teklo Tomb, when what did I see, but a dozen Arkhivians with picks, shovels, prybars and weapons coming in through the back door.
Now at that point the Grellig Bear had just spat a mouthful of acid at my face, as is their wont, and I was rather caught up in not dying. When I had finally bound the bloody thing I tried to track the Birdy party, but they were already gone, broken in to all the tombs and taken anything shiny that they could lay their hands on. Damned unfair.
But at least I can now spit acid, is what I say!”
Rumours of numerous Arkhivian adventuring parties breaking in to old tombs and temples and thieving away are beginning to spread throughout Djemity.
Scholar Fil Yos Yie records the recent history of the White Wyrm Kelis'San
I have pursued the latest reports of the White Wyrm and have come up against a stone wall. It seems that this last month or two nothing has been heard of the Great Wyrm - neither at sea, nor within the Seraphol. A curious occurrence, as I have nearly a year's worth of its activities compiled already (consult volume III).
The latest details I have are from those aboard the Aysa's Tear, a ship under the command of the Aquienos Admiral Andar. They are the last to have seen the Wyrm, for Andar and others had confronted the Wyrm, hoping to expel it from Djemity. This effort was unsuccessful as the crew tell me, but while the Wyrm pursued them, it left off pursuit at the very shores of Djemity.
Since then I cannot find any activity of Kelis'San or its Wyrmlings. This matter must require most thorough investigation…

The latest news brings us details of more tombs and temples raided by adventurers. What does this all mean for the common person on the Teklo street? What for others of the Allied races?
