A skilled explorer with a mysterious past.
Extract from a notable Aquienos publication on historical matters
… found that a great number of events featured the Explorer Diana'Phlogistonia'Mas. Although many have before me taken an interest in this famous explorer, there were, until now, a number of her achievements still undiscovered. I present to you know the full and long list of all the great exploits of that past age that Diana had participated in…
“Since I entered, trembling, and striving for beauty, the famous Navigator school, legends were already there about Diana, the inspired Explorer, who, with her enthusiasm, had had a lot of adventures … and to whom, in spite of her difficult life, many beautiful things had happened … and who had the almost magical ability to talk to animals… There were tales about Diana and about her dolphin, named Yan, who was so clever, you couldn't help thinking that you have got an Aquienos in front of you, instead of an animal.
And among other tales, there was the one that she was a Teacher in our school, but, no matter who we asked, they always said that noone had seen her. A lot of the students who were initially intruiged by the legends said that those were pure rumours, and stopped talking about them so often.. But I thought those were really beautiful stories, and kept thinking, and dreaming about them .. and although even in those days, no matter how strong I wanted to see it, but it was difficult for me to imagine anything like the hero of the legends being in front of an audience and giving lectures on a day-to-day routine … No matter of that, I started to feel down, realizing that such a beautiful life can be no more than a “simple” legend…
But, then, one evening, I was alone at the shore, looking at the sea and thinking about the day I was going to lead my first very own exploration, inspired once again by the stories of the sea-creatures Diana had talked to, when a dolphin approached. But it didn't take me long to understand this was not an ordinary dolphin … it behaved like human, it stared at me, and waited something … could this be …? I immediately jumped into the water, and the dolphin led me to a ship, which I was surprised I hadn't seen during the day. Now there was no doubt: the dolphin was Yan, and the ship was the Phlogistonia!
On her ship Diana gathered the most brave in their dreams students, and, during the night, right there, under the Sea of Stars, and above the Sea of Water, she whould tell us stories stories about her, and about her friends, stories about Aquienos who lived before her .. and stories about Aquienost who were going to explore the Star-Sea.. And in our eyes wide open we could see things more beautiful than anything we could dream of during the day.. We would gather on the Phlogistonia, we would love Yan, we would listen to stories .. we were to tell stories as well. And on the ship there would often come some old friend of Diana's some hero of a fascinating story about the times all the races joined their powers to fight the Numina… And in front of those people we were so happy, we wouldn't say a word that did not sound like a legend …
So that is how our days passed in this school .. magical days they were to me, and to all the others, although very few students, who waited every night to go on board of Phlogistonia, thirsty for new stories, and new and magical encounters… And we did say, nor force noone else to come with us … we just kept spreading the rumours that Diana, she was probably a teacher in our school …
Thus those magical days passed fast, so fast, that I soon found myself doing my own expeditions, I was happy and inspired. And then, after my big discoveries, when one day I finally wanted to come back, I tried to find the ship. There was no other way of understanding where it is except of asking the current students, of seeing the rainbows in the eyes of some of them, and hoping to get a right answer … but what I got were only legends, and legends …
I never went on the Phlogistonia again, and was first sad, because I really wanted to thank the people there, who had been my teachers, and wanted to see the most awesome dolphin ever .. But my sadness was soon to be substituted with pure happiness, because I remembered what Diana used to tell us, that she was going to be really happy with our successes. And I believed that the ship was still there, invisible, and that Yan is approaching the people, dreaming most beautifully…
But whether the ship was really there? There was a legend that once, as Diana'Phlogistonia'Mas, Utu'Manitou'Fra, and Andar'Guzel'Es'Fra in an adventure full of exploration helped the Spirit Teteoinnan to heal itself, it rewarded them greatly, and Diana chose for her ship to become invisible. A wise choice, and I can see now why it is wise, for nothing else can keep the legend so alive.”

Many have gone East, yet not come back. Where would the journey go? The sun set once more over Djemity, but the Explorer was already gone, beyond the sun, sailing seas that others had not yet seen and indeed nobody would see the ship, or the Captain, again.
