Aftermath

In the aftermath of the war Aquienos society returned much to its prewar state. Shortly after victory was claimed by the allied forces return from the final battle in the starsea, the Praetor Council voted to end the state of emergency and dissolve the Emergency Committee which was established on the outbreak of war. With the end of the war many of those famous heroes who were so instrumental to the course of the war left the Armada in search of fresh adventures.

Withdrawl

Samlock, a Becquerel Storyweaver from Echalon, weaves a story several decades after the defeat of the Numina:

So, many of the Becquerel had withdrawn within the Seraphol, there to live their lives again in isolation. Even now, coming back from my visit to Djemity, I have not met a single Becquerel of the Seraphol among the other races. I had searched within Trask, and there found no Becquerel. Across the Mosel Desert I journeyed a year and a month, and yet no Becquerel were known to …

Port Arcas

The Aquienos port of Arcas has proved to be a great centre of trade and is the first destination for most visitors to the “new world” of Balas. Traders from each of the races gather here in order to buy from or sell to the ships bound for Djemity.

The Marriage Duel

When the duel for Eumelos' hand finally occurred it was something of an anticlimax. So many large factions aligned with Chumana that the result was a forgone conclusion. Her last opponent standing was a branch of Eumelos' female fans, grouped together in the hope that one of them would get lucky. Chumana summoned her beasts and sent them among these foolish females, none good enough for her King. And so she was victorious.

Rebellion

In the days following the final meeting of the Citadel War Council it seemed that the civil unrest within the Empire would finally come to an end. Under the orders of their High Priest the remaining priests of the Incarnate Order accepted the dissolution of their caste and joined the ranks of the artists. Meanwhile the Imperial Chithana began to step down their numbers, the new 'chitha-cleaning' techniques allowing the former soldiers to start fresh lives amongst the civilian popul…
