Email the GM team at <gm@djemity.chaosdeathfish.com> with your character concept. Once we have accepted your character concept, we'll create you a user account and email you with your username and password.

If you create your character in-session, we will ask you to email a copy to the GM team - if we haven't created you an account in time to submit your turnsheet actions, you can email them to the GM team instead.

The Aquienos are truly men of the sea, indeed they have no real homeland on the main continent. Content to sail the Eastern seas, they derive their wealth from the various islands found there. These islands are too small to support a community but, nevertheless, have some resources available. They are master explorers and the only race which has regular business off the main continent.

The Ferali gem is highly prized for its lustre and inner flame. Unfortunately they are a rather dangerous accoutrement as they are a) alive and b) murderous killers. The Ferali is able to animate any body of liquid it falls into, it then uses the liquid to carry itself around looking for prey. Having located its victim it flows up onto the poor soul's head and forms a bubble around their face until they drown. It then slowly dissolves their fle…

Following the initial meetings of the representatives of each race, a project was embarked upon which would secure the tenuous alliance and engender co-operation between them all. They would create The Citadel.

The Navigators of the Aquienos spent months at sea and on land searching for the most auspicious location and time to begin work upon the Citadel. The Sylphim Incarnate Order fashioned a great floating isle to sit just above the land and form the focal point for all those co…

Enchantment is the means by which the most powerful magics are wrought. Sometimes these are a single act (such as destroying the Sylphim isle of Parabai) though more often a permanent item is created.

Their creation, however, is no easy feat: they require relics worked by master artisans, components bursting with magical power and enchanters of sufficient skill.

To defeat the guardian beast of Abra's tomb

Details/Plan

I've arranged to travel to Abra's tomb with that sneak thief, Tashar and her mage friend, Erloki. The crazy old man at the council meeting mentioned that the tomb was filled with traps and that some sort of giant bird nesting in the cliffs nearby acted as a guardian.
The others want to loot the tomb's treasure, and I'm fine with that, it's not a Kirlsa tomb after all. But my real interest is in fighting with t…

Like our own, the world is mostly water. The continent of Djemity is the greatest inhabitable landmass known to the Races, but many small islands can be found in the oceans.

The sun burns a cool yellow, but lies close to the world and during the summer it fills half the sky. Two moons orbit the world, moving in opposite directions; one a pale silver/blue, the other a dull copper/red.

Two hundred years ago a magical catastrophe struck the people of Djemity and annihilated their history.

In a single instant the libraries of the Teklo were emptied, the maps and charts of the Aquienos vanished and the ornate tapestries of the Sylphim unravelled. Worse still was the effect upon the people of that time, for the knowledge of history itself was ripped from their heads. Many were left dazed and confused from the loss, but the truly afflicted were the loremaste…

The hump-backed Kirlsa, long renowned as the greatest warriors in the land, live in the Mosel desert which over the millennia has tempered them into formidable foes. As well as individual skill at arms, some Kirlsa train to lead armies or wield their magics in defence of their oasis fortresses. Those who cannot fight find their place in Kirlsa society crafting weapons for their more capable brethren or healing those who fall in battle.

For those not from a mage caste, this is the only type of magic they can use. Mages have at least level 0 in all four of their Race's magics.

Contacting NPCs

If you wish to speak to any NPCs, either from session or from your background, turnsheeting or wherever, it would make our life a lot easier if you added as much information and direction as possible.

Djemity is set in a high fantasy world of heroes, spirits and monsters. It focuses on the eponymous continent of Djemity, a place populated by five fantastic races who now find themselves in a fragile alliance against an ancient foe.

Though the Races may have built mighty cities within their homelands and cultivated what territory they can protect, the lands of Djemity are mostly primal wilderness. Monsters roam the lands, both savage animals and more cunning beasts, and it is a brave or fool…

Tombs

Hundreds, if not thousands, of grand tombs stud the landscape of Djemity, for it is (perhaps surprisingly) the custom of every race to bury the dead.

The reasons behind this tradition were lost to the peoples of Djemity with the calamity of The End, but archaeological expeditions to some of the more accessible mausoleums have shown that a phenomenal degree of effort was placed on proofing these burial grounds against thieves, for they customarily bear an assortment of cunningly wrought …

At Character Generation you have 12 points to spend on Skills and Traits with an extra 8 available from taking negative Traits (though these can only be spent on other traits). Skills go to Rank 5, with Rank 3 being the maximum available at Character Generation for Favoured Caste skills, and Rank 2 for other skills. Rank -1 and Rank 6 in skills are only achieved through taking certain Traits or in-game events. Character progression is an important part of Djemity - more details of…

The Sylphim are a beauty obsessed race of insect people. They are ruled over by an empress with absolute power, her word law. They live upon flying islands and are deliberately isolationist, though exiles can be found dwelling amidst the other races.

The Teklo are a race of slender, pale-skinned mountain dwellers. They mostly inhabit great Poleis (Cities), carved into the sides of mountains, and exist as a Confederation of Republics, ruled over by the Senate Chamber. They maintain large diplomatic delegations with the other peoples, but allow outsiders only limited access to their mountain-fastnesses.

Little is known of the Arkhivians for they were driven from the shores of Djemity before The End. Since that time the Allied Races have struggled to put together a picture of the beings who once shared a homeland with them.

For the most part all that is known is barely remembered tales and folklore.

What is a Turnsheet?

A Turnsheet is your way of telling the GMs what your character is going to be getting up to in the downtime between sessions.

Generally speaking your character can undertake 3 significant activities in each turnsheet, so for each one you write down what you want to achieve and what your plan is. Then before the next session the GMs review all the turnsheets, see how they interact with each other, and then work out the results of everybody's actions.
